Pixart Imaging’s revenue may bottom in 1Q19; 2H19 revenue may grow HoH

PixArt Imaging Inc (3227-TW), the image sensing IC company held an online investors conference today on May 9th. Pixart Imaging chief financial officer Mei-wei Lo told that Pixart’s revenue may bottom in 1Q19. And, catalyzed by the shipment of gaming controller, wearable products, surveillance products and Bluetooth headset, the company’s 2Q19 revenue may grow significantly and lead its 2Q19 earnings to grow as well. Lo guided its 2H19 revenue to grow HoH.

In its 1Q19 revenue proportion, the computer mouse accounted for 77%; gaming controller accounted for 9%; surveillance products, wearable products and Bluetooth products accounted for 14%. Lo pointed out that catalyzed by the supply chain’s inventory replenishment, the company’s  FY18 revenue was higher. However, since the clients started their inventory adjustment, the company’s 1H19 shipment was not satisfactory.

Lo estimated that the company’s 2Q19 revenue of computer mouse may increase by 1-3%, but its revenue proportion may drop to ~60%, and then may return to normal in 2H19. Lo also predicted that PixArt Imaging’s FY19 revenue may decrease YoY.
